HIGH SPIN STRUCTURES IN THE 159Lu NUCLEUS

High-spin states in 159Lu were populated by fusionevaporation reaction 144Sm (19F, 4n) at a beam of 106 MeV. The level scheme for 159Lu is established up to spin57/2-with the addition of about 20 new transitions. The possible configurations of the updated bands are suggested by the experiments Routhians, alignments and B(M1)/B(E2) ratios.
