THE ANTI-SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF LOCK-UP DEVICE
Recently, lock-up device (LUD) is always used in practical engineering. To study the antiseismic performance of LUD, this paper carries out the nonlinear time-history analysis on bridge engineering by the Midas/Civil software, considering the interaction between pile and soil. The related data are compared in the two computational models which are respectively uninstalled Lock-up device and installed Lock-up device. The results show that the maximum shear forces of the tops of the piers and the maximum bending moments of the bottoms of the piers are quite uniform after the LUD are installed and that the maximum displacements at the end of the girder of the model installed the LUD are smaller than those of uninstalled the LUD. In a word, the Lock-up device shows an excellent anti-seismic performance.
