RESEARCH ON INSTABLE DEFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS OF RIGID PILE COMPOSITE FOUNDATION IN SATURATED SOFT SOIL
Rigid pile composite foundation can be adopted to deep soft area, whose instable deformation characteristic is one of the key considerations in composite foundation design in saturate soft soil. The settlement and deformation discipline and pile stability of rigid pile composite foundation under flexible loads with different pile spacing is studied through centrifugal model test combined with numerical simulation. Test results indicate; with the pile spacing increasing from 3 m to 6 m, both the settlement of embankment center and outside uplift of slope toe are more than 15 mm. The coefficient of foundation reaches 0. 8 and the piles near slope toe have fractured. The composite foundation is instable, so pile spacing is suggested being within 4 m.
