RESEARCH ON THE STRESS-STRAIN CURVES OF STRUCTURAL LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE CONCRETE

Four different equations of stress-strain curves were compared and analyzed,a new subsection equation was provided according to related test results. The ascending equation is identical with the present Technical Specification for Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Structures (JGJ12 -2006) ,the declining equation is a rational function in which the single constant B can be evaluated from the key points. The coordinates of the key points were expressed in function of the compressive strength of concrete. The subsection equation is simple and can perfectly reflect the declining stress-strain relationships so as to offer reference basis for nonlinear analysis of lightweight concrete structures.
