RESEARCH OF STIFFNESS PERFORMANCE OF TRUSS STRING STRUCTURE OF A LARGE-SPAN ROOF STRUCTURE
In this paper,application of pipe-truss string structure in Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is introduced firstly,and then,in combination with the testing results of cold-bending pipes,vertical stiffness of this kind of structure is discussed. The results shows that the elastic modulus of cold-bending pipe is weakened to some extent,which also caused the reduction of vertical stiffness of Truss-String-Structure. Finally,a method is developed to calculate the stiffness of circular steel pipe element with the bending effect.
