IN-SITU WELDING DISTORTION PREDICTION AND CONSTRUCTION CONTROL OF A STEEL THICK-PLATE BOX GIRDER
Hefei Xinqiao International Airport Terminal is a large span steel structure,some beam members are formed with thick plate box welded on site. Adopting ANSYS software,this paper introduced the welding simulation process of a steel box girder under different constraints,analyzed and calculated its distortion,and compared the results. The research shows that the ANSYS software can satisfactorily simulate the welding process of steel box girder,which can be instructive for other actual construction,and a few measures were proposed to reduce the welding distortion,therefore to improve the quality of welded construction.
