Experimental Investigation on the Gas Flow Motion of Puffer Circuit Breaker
Major obstacles to analysis and design of high performance puffer circuit breaker is insufficient appreciation of the gas flow motion in arc quenching chamber. Puffer circuit breaker model which is detachable was regarded as study object in this paper. A method called thermal flow rate detecting technique is proposed to detect the airspeed in arc quenching chamber in this paper and a hot-wire airflow sensor which has advantages of low-cost, low power consumption and rapid thermal response time is designed.Computer processing technology is used to specify the speed of fluid by establishing mathematical model based on sensing mechanism of the transducer in a constant temperature operation mode. The temperature compensation and linear compensation of transducer are achieved by way of data fusion algorithm and the designed flowmeter is made a static calibration by experiment platform at the same time which proves that application of hot-wire transducer in breaker is feasible.
