Experimental Study on the Deformation and Strength of Silt Soil under Cyclic Loading
The cyclic behavior of silt subgrade directly determines its settlement. In order to investigate the characteristics of the deformation and strength of silt soil , a series of dynamic triaxial tests are conducted to study the variation of samples in different physical conditions (relative compaction , water content) under different stress levels (frequency, confining pressure). The experimental results show that the dynamic strength and deformation characteristics of silt soil vary markedly with differ -ent relative compaction , frequency and dynamic stress ratio , reveal the impact on the soil dynamic strength by these factors through comparative analysis , and proposed the variation of dynamic strength and the cumulative deformation characteristic of silt soil under cyclic loading.
