Vibration Serviceability Evaluation of Large-span Station Structures
More concerns have been paid on the issues of vibration discomfort of large -span train-bridge-station structures, which are more flexible and have low natural frequencies in comparison with those of traditional railway station. The dynamic assessment of a large -span railway station subjected to train loading and crowd loading is carried out in this study. The simplification approach of large-span structure model and the simulation method of crowd excitation in the waiting floors are comprehensively presented. The dynamic response of a large -span structure under train excitation is analyzed. The effect of non-structural components and boundary conditions performed to the dynamic property of the structure are investigated. The dynamic characteristics of the waiting hall floors are simulated and compared with structural dynamic test results. The vibration responses of the floors under train loads are also obtained by field measurement datum. Furthermore, the computational methods of the human-induced vibration of the waiting hall floors are discussed. Finally ,the serviceability criteria applicable for vibration of railway stations are suggested based on the comparison re -suits of established serviceability criteria. Based on the analysis results above ,vibration serviceability of the waiting rooms is evaluated according to ISO 10137 ;2007. The results show the vibration of structure can satisfy the design requirement. The study in this paper can provide reference for the analysis and serviceability evaluation of similar large -span station structures.
