Suspender Damage Identification of a Tied-arch Bridge Based on Curvature Modal Difference Method
The tied-arch bridge is a kind of medium span bridge with superiority. The suspenders, which hang the bridge deck ,are the most susceptible to damage. For the sake of safety,applicability and durability of the arch bridge ,it is important to do health monitoring and damage identifying in time. In this paper,the damage of suspenders under different cases is identified by the Curvature Modal Difference Method (CMDM). The method is applied to a 128 m steel box tied-arch bridge, and the suspender damages are well identified. On this basis, the general method of suspender damage identification is put forward.
