Influence of Slab Track Fastener Failure on Track Dynamic Performance

To ascertain the dynamic influence caused by fastener failure on slab track ,a beam-solid body dynamics model was established and the wheel -track dynamic response when the vehicle pas -sed the fastener failure section was calculated. The result shows that when the vehicle gets through a single failure fastener, where the dynamic wheel -rail force increases significantly , the vertical displacement of rail and track slab doubled , as well as the wheel impact and rail displacement of the adjacent fastener, also both the vertical displacement of slab and concrete bottom plate have remark -able increases. The more failed fasteners the line has ,the stronger the wheel-track interaction is ,the more damage to the slab track therefore. In particular,when the failed fasteners and the normal fasteners arranged alternatively ,the normal fasteners have bigger displacements than the failure ones. The dynamic effect becomes more significant with the vehicle speed increasing.
