Low-noise Rails with Labyrinth Constrained Damping and Its Application in Shanghai Metro Line 10
On the basis of analysis of essential principles of reducing rail noise by increasing the vi -bration attenuation ratio, this paper presents a new vibration and noise reduction solution of rails with labyrinth constrained damping structure. This new damping structure can obviously increase the function area of damping layer and benefit vibration and noise reduction. Finite element models of typical damped rail projects and a standard rail are set up ,and a damped rail project with an optimal damping effect is selected through the comparative analysis of vibration attenuation effect by dynam -ics simulation. The technology is already successfully applied in Shanghai Metro Line 10. The measurement results prove that it can reduce the A -weighted sound pressure level by 6~10dB(A) and get to the advanced technology of the same kind.
