Institutional Change of the Spatial Distribution of Chinese Provincial Government Power: Based on the Paradigm of Historical Institution
Historical institutionalism paradigm has provided a new perspective for the analysis of institutional change of the spatial distribution of Chinese provincial government power. Based on this paradigm, we can find that in the structural change of institution, different political variables and institution itself construct a certain sequence, and the interaction between institution and actors promoted or blocked the process of institutional change. In the historical change of institution, the spatial distribution institution has an obviously path-dependent tendency; the changes of environmental factors facilitate the formation of veto points of institutional rupture. And further reforms need to optimize the spatial distribution structure to promote the efficiency of static power distribution and to improve power dynamic operational mechanism at the provincial level.
