The Causes, Existing Necessity and Promotion Strategies on Small Schools in Rural Areas in China
The main reasons about formation of small schools in rural areas are the total number of school-age population in rural areas reduced, the flow of migrant workers children, drop-out rates remain high in rural primary and secondary school, intensifying trend of rural families school choice, the flow of excellent teachers, the low quality of teachers and teaching device configuration inequality. Small schools in rural areas have its existence necessity. Accordingly, taking the principle of focusing on reconstruction, and increase government investment in compulsory education in rural areas, do a good job of small class teaching; improve the internal management system and open good parents schools and other initiatives to promote small-scale rural schools to achieve sound and rapid development.
