The Analysis on the Promotion of the Governments Public Trust Based on the Construction of the Harmonious Society in China
The construction of the harmonious socialistic society needs efforts from the government, the public, the society and so on. The government is the core and plays the leading role. Whether governments core role is recognized depends on how much the public trust in the government, namely the public trust in government. The public trust in government is the key symbol of societys civilization and the progress. This paper begins with the introduction of the connotation of the harmonious society and the public trust in government. Then the author elaborates the impetus of public trust in government for building a harmonious society. After that, the author points out the existing problem of the public trust in government such as failing to set up the goal of serving the people heart and soul, bureaucracy and formalism, abuse of authority for individual interest, corruption remaining incessant after repeated prohibition embezzlement and corruption to failure to prohibit repeatedly, the decision-making lacking democratization, policy discontinuity, lack of information transparency and so on. The author thinks that the imperfect legal system, the lack of people-oriented idea, the ineffective supervision of social and public opinion strength, the excessive pursuit of their own interests of the public servant, the violation of public interest and so on are the causes of these problems. Only by setting up the idea of peopleoriented and concept of serving the public firmly; further improving administration legal regime and administration according to law; constructing transparent government; strengthening the democratization of the policy making, making scientific and steady policy; Promoting the public participation and the public scrutiny positively, can we effectively enhance the public trust of the government so that we can set up a harmonious society.
