Necessity of Self-gatekeeping in the Network Communication in China
With the rapid development of the Internet, the media scene and the whole community are undergoing a profound transformation. New media technologies have integrated into the various areas of our daily lives rapidly. Massive network information has greatly broadened the vision of modern, but a large number of pornographic, false, speculation, and other information are parasitic in the network, affecting the people, especially young peoples physical and mental development, interfered with the building of a harmonious society. This article tries to emphasize persons ability of controlling the media and choosing independently, and not only has helped to re-establish peoples ability to improve, choose and control, but also has the theoretical significance to enrich and develop the gatekeeper theory, at the same time, it has practical significance for orderly transmission of information.
