Discussion about Government News Agenda-setting through Micro-blog
Along with the development of network technology and the rise of micro-blog, the micro-blog has became a new stronghold where public opinion outbreaks. It is the trend of the times for the government to channel public opinion and get the ultimate goal of answering to an emergency incidence by communication with the public and monitoring public opinion on the web site through the platform of micro log. However, along with the widely opening of micro-blog by government departments and officials, the lacking of media literacy and a serial of problems of government departments and officials as social media subject were exposed, so that the using of micro-blog cannot reach the intended purpose. The purpose of this essay is to clarify the relationship among government, media and public, and to realize the purpose of communication between government and public, monitoring and channeling public opinion through the method of government news agenda-setting.
