The Factor Analysis of Internet Public Opinion in the Evolutionary Process of Mass Emergencies
Network, as the modern media with the characteristics of the fastest spreading speed and the most extensive spreading range, plays an important role in the evolutionary process of mass emergencies. We proposed an evolutionary process of mass emergencies and divided it into 5 stages (i.e. induced initiation, upgrading contradiction, emergencies generation, conflict explosion and conflict termination).Based on each stage, we analyzed the role and function of the Internet public opinion. Therefore, we draw the conclusion that the Internet public opinion possesses the functions as Magnifier, Accelerator, and Combustion improver to the whole evolutionary process. This paper aims to provide fundamental support for researches on prewaming, protection, and emergency treatment of mass emergencies.
