Study of Private Interest Organizations Participation in Public Welfare Activity: With the Research Object of Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce
Participation in social welfare activities was firstly confirmed by government documents obtained by Chamber of Commerce, and is the currently most developed social management function. As an industrial organization with certain private interest rather than pure public interest, during participating in public welfare activities, how to balance the conflict between private interest and public welfare is a problem faced by Chamber of Commerce. As the so-called real civil Chamber of Commerce, Wenzhou Chamber of Commerces participation in social management, especially in philanthropy has created a unique operation model with Wenzhou characteristics. Developing the public welfare functions of private interest organizations like Chamber of Commerce is an effective way to accumulate social capital for private interest organizations, as well as has significance on accelerating transforming social management functions to social organizations and strengthening the foundation of civil society.
