Chinese Time-Honored Enterprises Internal Innovation Environment Diagnosis: A Case Study Based on Beijing WangZhiHe Food Co. Ltd.

This paper adopts questionnaire survey and interview with managers of Beijing WangZhiHe Co.Ltd., combining with documents study, gets understanding about the companys internal organizational factors that influence its innovation. CEIA instrument is used to examine 5 key internal conditions-management support, work discretion, rewards/reinforcement, time availability and organizational boundaries. The major problems hindering innovation were identified and relevant management suggestions were proposed. The diagnosis conclusion is practical for the case firm, it can also be used for reference by other Chinese time-honored enterprises to improve their internal innovation environment.
