The Study of the Golden Mean in The Book of Changes and Decision-Making Thoughts

摘要：

The Book of Changes, which contains rich Golden Mean theory and decision making ideas, is the flowing water source of Chinese traditional culture. Through analyzing the Golden Mean and decision making ideas in The Book of Changes, this paper attempts to define the Golden Mean and point out prediction, the wholeness and the Time-Dependent Mean, human nature management and adaptability and innovation all together four major points of decision making. Moreover, in the paper the author proposes the ultimate goal of decision making—preserve the harmoniousness which has practical significance of increasing decision-making ability.
