A Study of Correlation between Environment Factors with Safety Management Based on Broken Window Theory
In view of the coal mine safety situation across China, the total number of accidents and deaths apparently decline year by year. This decline implies an improvement in coal mine safety. However, it just shows a gentle downward, which reveals lack of essential breakthrough on safety achievement, and thus safety management encounters a bottleneck. This essay explores the relationship between environmental factors and mining safety condition based on Broken window theory. While improving the environment, a new safety management in controlling unsafe behavior is proposed. Taking Kailuan Coal Mine Group as an example, the essay analyses the relationship between the environment and unsafe behavior using correlation coefficient analysis and factor analysis. The conclusion verifies that the unsatisfactory environment leads to unsafe behaviors. This is of certain practical significance to continual promotion of the level of mining safety management.
