Project Risk Evaluation Method Based on Fuzzy Linguistic Value

In this paper, aiming at the uncertainty and subjectivity of project risk, we propose a risk evaluation method based on fuzzy set theory. First experts panel assess the influential factors of project risk: risk severity, risk likelihood and risk discrimination, then describe the ambiguity of these linguistic values by defining the fuzzy numbers. Finally, in view of fuzzy average operation thinking and sorting methods, we achieve the project risk assessment and the comparison and sort of risk, accompanied by a numerical example.
