Siting Hazards Study in a Similar HAZOP Organization and Procedure
The siting hazard issues are usually studied by one or several independent persons, but some information are dark for the limitations of the specialty knowledge and experience. The brain storm style may be the best method to settle the problem for getting the credible conclusions based on actual conditions. Experts from concerned specialties discuss hazard issues together and get safety conclusions by special rules which will be more powerful. The aim of the present paper is to provide specific procedures and suggestions for conducting siting hazards issues in petrochemical installations (e.g., nature gas gathering station) with a similar organization and sequence to process HAZOP, a methodology for organizational steps, selecting special guide words and awareness for the hazards identifying method named siting HAZOPs is provided. The roles in siting and process HAZOP groups are contrasted. Finally, some questions about siting HAZOPs are discussed for improvement.
