Analysis of Death Accidents in Chinese Coal Mines Based on the Grey Theory
According to relevant literatures and the production practicalities of coal mines, as well as the investigation results for the reasons of accidents occurring in coal mines in recent years, coal output, coal mining mechanization degree, laws and regulations on work safety, the quality of employed peoples and GDP growth rate are defined as five major factors that contribute to casualty accidents in coal mines. In consideration of the accident statistics in Chinas coal mines, relation analysis is performed for the five factors by applying grey relation theory. The analysis results suggest that, the factors that significantly relate to the casualty accidents in coal mines in sequence are the quality of employed peoples, coal mining mechanization degree, coal output, laws and regulations on work safety and GDP. Simply and relatively accurate, this method helps to correctly evaluate the key influential factors and prevent casualty accidents in coal mines.
