A Method for Measuring Safety Psychological State of Construction Workers
The psychological measurement method provides a feasible way to study Safety Psychological State of Construction Workers (SPSCWs), which is in favour of improving construction safety management performance. Based on factors that influence the SPSCWs on-site, this research develops questionnaire scale containning 15 items to measure SPSCWs. The test items were classified by factor analysis to explore the inner stable psychological structure, which belong to psychological paralysis, living habits, psychological adventure, emotional, personal competencies respectively. This test also obtains the factor score coefficient of the corresponding test item in the factors and the variance contribution. The application of factor score coefficient as the weight of test items, the variance contribution as the weight of extracted factors come to the measurement methods of SPSCWs. Finally, the empirical research was carried out for workers on-site from the Second Harbour Engineering Company(SHEC) for project department I of Wuhan Erqi Yangtze River Bridge, ultimately obtains the relative SPSCWs. It is consistented with the result of routine inspection of safety supervisor, which verifys the proposed method feasibility and practicality.
