Human Error Assessment in Coal Mining Based on the Success Likelihood Index Methodology
The human error assessment in coal mining is still difficult because it has some features of diversity and complexity. In this paper human errors will be divided into three categories: managerial human errors, technical human errors and operating human errors. The methods to assess human errors in coal mining were discussed. With a case study on the coal shearer drivers, the paper will assess and analyze the operating human errors with the success likelihood index methodology (SLIM), which has been proved to be an applicable and effective method to fulfill such assessment and analysis.
