Research on Unsafe Behavior of Miners Based on the Utility Theory

In order to control the mine accidents caused by the miners unsafe behaviors effectively, the loss function due to the miners unsafe behaviors has been established based on the utility theory. The results demonstrate that the more unsafe behaviors there are, the greater loss an enterprise will cost; whereas the more specification for safety operations and the more serious punishment to unsafe behaviors are made, the less unsafe behavior and the loss cost will be caused. Finally, combined with the analysis of utility theory, the available methods and measures for controlling coal miners unsafe behavior are presented.
