Prediction and Assessment of Urban Tunneling Induced Stratum Environment Damage Risk
the stratum environmental damage induced by urban tunnel construction is almost unavoidable, which make structures and underground pipelines couldnt work properly. Especially the ground surface settlement is the most critical problem. The prediction and assessment of the risk caused by ground surface settlement is an important problem has to be solved. In this study, the classical horizontal and vertical ground settlement prediction formulations have been introduced and improved, and numerical simulation is also be applied in the settlement prediction. By Delphi programming software, the prediction settlement data at any location in construction site is calculated and stored to Access database. By Visual C++program, the data is exchanged and analyzed in Access database, and three risk assessment are applied and introduced: a) controlling of the surface deformation monitoring; b) controlling of the building foundation deformation; c) influence subarea and safety classification in tunnel and foundation pit of the project. By three-dimensional simulation imagery technology, 3D prediction of stratum settlement on limited field data is achieved, and the assessment data and simulation imagery could also been expressed. It is useful for damage assessment and safe precautions, and provides a basis for safety decision of the surrounding buildings and facilities during the subway tunneling construction process.
