Preparation and Characterization of Al-CuO Nano-arrays

In this paper, copper plates were used as substrate and CuO nano-wires were synthesized by thermally annealing on the substrate. Al was then integrated with the CuO nano-wires by unbalanced magnetron sputtering (UBMS) and Al-Cuo nano-array was obtained. The synthesized Al-CuO nano-array was characterized by SEM, EDS, XRD, DSC. XRD results indicate that no reaction between Al and CuO nanowires during the sputtering. DSC analysis showed a exothermic peak ahead of the Al melting, indicating the reaction between the CuO nanowires and nano-Al.
