Four Novelty High-Nitrogen (N > 55.0%) and Environmental Friendly Energetic Compounds M(DAT)6(ClO4)2 (M = Zn(II), Cd(II), Co(II) and Mn(II), DAT = 1,5-diaminotetrazole)

The four novel energetic coordination compounds M(DAT)6(ClO4)2 (M=Zn(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ) and Mn(Ⅱ), DAT=1,5-diaminotetrazole) were synthesized by using DAT as a ligand and characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR spectrum. In addition, vibrational spectroscopy of DAT group had been investigated at DFT-B3LYP/6-311++g(d,p) level of theory by performing with Gaussian03 program, and the bonds’ linking mode with metal cation and DAT group was investigated. The crystal structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.The central M(Ⅱ) cations are coordinated by six N atoms from six DAT molecules to form a six-coordinated and distorted octahedral structure. Thermal decomposition mechanisms were investigated based on differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry-derivative thermogravimetry (TG-DTG). The kinetic parameters of the first exothermic process were studied by applying the Kissingers and Ozawas methods. The sensitivity properties of M(DAT)6(ClO4)2 were also determined with standard methods and the results of all the studies showed that M(DAT)6(ClO4)2 were four novelty high-nitrogen and environmental friendly energetic compounds and had an extreme potential application as energetic materials.
