Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 5,8-Dinitro-Napthalene-1,4-Dicarboxylate Acid

摘要：

Nitration of naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid (1,4-NDC) was studied and an aromatic carboxylic acid containing two nitro groups was synthesized and characterized through elemental analysis and IR spectra. Crystal structure of 5,8-dinitro-1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction and the thermal decomposition was carried out through DSC and TG-DTG analyses.
