Study on the Compatibility and Stability of PAVA Pyrotechnic Composition
The compatibility and stability of nonylic acid vanillylamide (PAVA) pyrotechnic composition(smoke composition to disseminate PAVA in atmosphere as sensory irritant) were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The compatibility of the PAVA pyrotechnic composition was evaluated by the temperature variety values(ΔTp) of the first exothermic peaks. Samples were heated at different heating rates 5, 10, 20 K/min under the static air circumstance. The stability temperature (temperature when the heating rates is zero, Tp0) was calculated. The results show that the components of PAVA pyrotechnic composition are compatible and the stability temperature of the composition is 145.83 5.83 ℃.
