Study on Thermal Performance of Polyaryloxyphosphazene Rubber

Polyaryloxyphosphazene rubber was obtained after the polyaryloxyphosphazene polymer was purified and vulcanized. The rubber thermal performance was characterized by thermal conductivity, TGA and linear ablation rate. And carbon layer performance of the polymer ablation-generated was analyzed. The results show that the thermal conductivity of polyaryloxyphosphazene rubber is 0.21 W/(m·K). Its linear ablation rate is less than 0.15mm/s. The main peak temperature of the thermal decomposition is 397.78 ℃. The obvious weight loss of the polymer is at the temperature of 461.14℃ and 529.95℃. And it can also remain 45.40% at the temperature of 565.37℃ and then keep constant. It can be expected that the polymer has good thermal stability at high temperature. Results of the conical calorimeter analysis show that the rubber carbonizing rate is high. At the meantime the carbon layer is hard which meets the challenge of the coating layer.
