Explosion Initiation by Collapse of Spherical Cavity in Visco-plastic Explosive
Central-symmetric movement of a spherical cavity with initial radius а0, located in a concentric cell in radius b0>a0 inside of mass of high explosive (HE) material is considered. In initial moment of time the sphere is filled by air with pressure р0. Radially converging stream arises owing to the application to an external surface of a cell uniform distributed loading with amplitude P. The problems of such kind earlier solved repeatedly, but in each of them the various characteristic properties HE, applied loading and features of an arising stream were not considered properly. In the given paper compressibility of substance explored is considered by means of representation about the termination of cavity collapse at the moment of achievement by its walls of the velocity equal to velocity of a sound in initial substance. In critical conditions of explosion initiation of at this moment of time the full depth of thermal decomposition of explosive should be fixed.
