Simulation of Dust Explosion Venting with Venting Duct
Aluminum dust explosion venting was studied by the experiment and numerical simulation in 1.3L Hartmann bomb. 1.3L Hartmann explosive device was established with a venting duct. The processes of blowing dust, ignition and explosion venting were simulated by numerical model of explosion relief. Compared numerical values with experimental values, it is found that the maximum error of the maximum pressure Pmax and the maximum rate of pressure rise (dP/dt) max is 15% and 35%. Numerical simulation can better reproduce the dust explosion venting process.
