Study on Exploding Foil In-line Ignition System

The technology of Low Energy Exploding Foil Igniter (LEEFI) and in-line ignition system were studied; the miniaturization and reliability growth of the key components such as electronic switch, storage capacitance, voltage booster etc. which were used in ignition system were also studied. Meanwhile, the sample of LEEFI and exploding foil in-line ignition system was assembled; and certain environmental experiment, mechanical experiment, and firing testing were done. The results show that, the system is up to the design requirements of the in-line ignition system absolutely.
