Research on Safety and Reliability of EID in EME

Electromagnetic interferences (EMI) could be existed a potional hazard about safety and reliability directly or indirectly when an electric ignition device(EID) was in electromagnetic environment(EME). There are several methods for assessing the safety and reliability with the measurement of induced energy of EIDs metioned in MIL-STD-464A and other relevant EMC standards. In order to evaluate the safety and reliability of EID or ordnance , test the induced energy or current on the bridge-wire must be first considered. This paper narrate the measurement and analysis method of safety and reliability for EID in EME and establish the relationship between temperature with induced current by using the infrared fiber temperature measurement system.
