Study on the Detonation Effects of Emulsion Base in Curved Charging Conditions

The detonation propagation laws of emulsion base in curved charging conditions were studied. Some parameters like initiating charge, temperature and radius of curvature of elbow that influenced the detonation effects of emulsion base were analyzed based on experiments. Results indicated that the relationship between detonation length and initiating charge was linear, the reaction intensity of emulsion base reached peak value at 120℃ in experimental conditions and 70mm was critical radium of curvature value to detonation length. The data, which was favorable for the alteration that was used as suppression technology to explosive in the production transit lines of emulsion explosive, was achieved.
