Study on Electro Explosion Performance of Al/Ni Bridge Films

Ni/Al bridge films were successfully deposited with magnetron sputtering process on the ceramic substrate. The electro explosion performances were compared with three nanoscale layers bridge films which included Al bridge film, Ni bridge film and Al/Ni bridge films ignited by the constant voltage power supply. Pictures of high-speed photography indicated that the melting time of Al bridge film and Ni bridge film and Al/Ni bridge films were 950 μs and 5200 μs and 1750 μs respectively.The maximum electro-explosion temperatures of three bridge films were 3339 K and 2405 K and 4133 K atomic by means of emission two-line spectrometry respectively. Al/Ni bridge films could produce more calories than both single-layer Al Bridge film and single-layer Ni bridge film because of the intermetallic reaction in Al/Ni bridge films to promote the further electro explosion.
