The Effects of Leadership Style to the Motivation of Managers

This study examines the relationship between leadership style and the level of managers motivation using a field study of 78 managers in Malaysia. The findings of the study reveal that both transformational and transactional leadership styles are vital factors that determine the level of managers motivation. Specifically, the result of this study reveals that the higher the level of transformational and transactional leadership style practiced within a company, the higher the level of managers motivation. The findings of this study have significant contribution to the body of knowledge in managers motivation management as well as practical implication to the management of a corporation especially in the area of organizational leadership which influences a company performance.
