Organizational Justice, Organizational Citizenship Behavior And Job Satisfaction: What Is The Relationship?

The relationship between organizational justice, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) was examined. A total of 267 employees in the manufacturing sector responded to the questionnaires. It was found that interpersonal justice tended to be a stronger predictor of OCB. Interpersonal justice correlates significantly with courtesy, altruism and conscientiousness. Job satisfaction has a significant relationship with all dimensions of OCB except sportsmanship which correlates positively with age. However, when the influence of justice had been controlled, the effect of organizational justice on OCB is minimal. Thus, it can be concluded that even though organizational justice may be related to OCB, job satisfaction seems to have a stronger influence on OCB.
