Schumpeters hypothesis: Industry Evolution Environment and Comparative Research on the U.S. and China Manufacturing
Most of the research literatures put the controversial conclusion about the relationship between firm size and technological innovation comes down to the industry difference and subjective model setting, based on the static comparative of different industries, and often ignored industrial dynamic changes caused by different driving forces provided by industry evolution environment might lead to the different result. This thesis applies an industry grouping of non-parametric regression method to improve on industry difference interference and empirical model error in traditional study, based on it, doing a comparative analysis of the driving force to U.S. and china manufacturing, the study found. U.S. and china manufacturing are in different industry growth stage, Chinese manufacturing take the traditional elements and R&D input as main driving factors, which requires objectively enterprise scale expanding, therefore it shows characteristic Schumpeterian Innovation; But U.S. manufacturing is driven by R&D and Non-R&D input model jointly, it can Keep continuous innovation through the cooperation network under the condition of same or contractive firm size.
