Effectiveness of Web-based Learning
E-learning activity has become an alternative since face-to-face teaching can not be always performed due to various unexpected reasons. Consequently, the benefits of face-to-face learning activity should be adopted as much as possible into e-learning through the software it develops. Communication technology and learning strategy is needed, as the effectiveness parameters of interaction in web-based learning. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of web-based learning. The effectiveness was measured based on the interaction between lecturers and students, interactions between students and material, and interaction among the students. Data were collected through a questionnaire given to 251 students in four universities in Indonesia. The analysis was performed descriptively. Based on the three interactions the result showed that web-based learning process is still not effective.
