Business Model Dynamics: A Case Study of Apple Inc.
Traditionally, people once believed that business model should be static (something that is unchangeable), but in recent years, scholars have suggested that the dynamic business model of companies can bring about more lasting and more successful developments. This paper, based on Dynamic Business Model Framework, identifies and characterizes three stages: creation, extension and revision by demonstration of the change of Apples business models. The results of the empirical analysis exhibited fully the good applicability of Dynamic Business Model Framework for characterizing business model dynamics.
