Empirical Analysis of Location Choice of Foreign Direct Investment
Japanese FDI in food has increased very rapidly in East Asia after the Plaza Accord in 1985. This paper tries to analyze an empirical study of the factors that influence the location choices of Japanese food foreign direct investment in East Asian countries. We found that wage rate, infrastructure, openness, market size and raw materials index are the determinant factors in deciding the location choice of Japanese food investments in East Asia.
