The Planning of Workshop RFID Network Based on Modified Genetic Algorithm Using Metropolis Rule
With the application of RFID in production monitoring, workshop RFID network planning has become an important problem. On the premise of ensuring high read rate and network load balancing, the key is how to allocate network resource, reduce collision between readers, and improve identification probability of tags. This paper, based on the analyzing of network coverage and reader collision, firstly built the mathematic model using bipartite graph and then proposed a modified genetic algorithm using metropolis rule (MGA) to resolve the RFID network planning. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provide superior performance in network planning. It is shown that the MGA is effective in terms of increasing network coverage and minimizing reader collision.
