Influences of the Location Factors on Agglomeration of Producer Services: An Empirical Study Based on the Hypothesis of Marshall & Wood
Marshall & Wood proposed that the location factors of accessibility, proximity and environmental factors are closely linked with agglomeration economies. From traditional location theories, via the data in 12 major cities of China and four linear regression models, this paper quantitatively analyzed the influences of the three types of location factors on the agglomeration of producer services, and arrived at some corresponding conclusions. Meanwhile, the article concretely analyzed the role of each location factor and identified the relatively significant factors for agglomeration in order to make recommendations accordingly and reference for the further development of producer services.
