Scattering Angular Distribution Properties Calculation of Au-NRs with DDA

The optical properties of metal nanoparticles are quite different from those of the bulk materials mainly due to the resonance of their surface plasmon wave (SPW) which is strongly dependent on the particle shape and size. With the discrete dipole approximation (DDA) method, we calculated the single particles of gold nanorods (Au-NRs) with five different aspect ratios, by using the coordinate system, and the incident light along the radial distribution of Au-NRs. We obtained the variation between angular distribution of scattering properties of Au-NRs and aspect ratio, and anglicised the gold particles scattering properties of its aspect ratio. The results reflect the effect of the scattering intensity on aspect ratio of gold nanorods to some extent, and provide a theoretical support on the research of the scattering properties of gold nanorods application in various fields.
