Citizen Participation in the Public Policy Making

The citizen participation is a sort of activities in which the citizens attempt to take part to influence the public policy and life. It is an essential link during the policy-making process and thus causes great concerns. Taking the revised railway passenger transportation regulations by the Ministry of Railways in the end of 2010 as a starting point, this paper analyses both the influence of citizen participation on public policy making and the insufficiencies existed today, and proposes the corresponding measures to improve this condition.
